Massanutten also has fishing close by if you love to fish. There are two ponds to choose from. One is located down in Hopkins Park where there is a children's playground and also a picnic area. The other is higher up on the mountain called Painter's Pond.
Both these ponds are stocked with rainbow trout several times during the year. Current Fishing Licenses are required to fish in either of these two ponds. Licenses may be purchased at either the General Store or The Market both located in Massanutten Resort.
